He was predeceased by: his father Daniel Riffle; and his grandson Cooper. He is survived by: his mother Teresa Riffle (Clayton); his wife Charity Zinkie; his sons, Daniel III, Zachary (Steffanie), Nathan, Brandon (Jordan) and Dylan Riffle; his grandchildren, Easton, Piper, Brooks and Eathann; and his brother Joseph Riffle (Lisa).

On August 29, 2009, he married the former Charity Zinkie who survives.
