He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur F. Firestone and Elizabeth Emma Firestone (Seggerman); and his siblings, Doris Nicodemus, Willowdene Firestone and Richard Firestone.
He is survived by: his spouse Joan Bowman; his daughter Pamela Scarberry (Ron); his grandchildren, Erick Holmes (Sarah), Jay Skeeters (Rose), Beth Stickel (Nick Haines), Adam Stickel (Cheryl Holloway), Autumn Cameron (Matt) and Ron Scarberry (Clarissa Densmore); his great grandchildren, Madalyn Cameron, Elijah Cameron, Alisea Cameron, Lewis Cameron, Jordan Cameron, Kendall Stickel, Ethan Holmes, Avery Holmes, Gabriella Stickel, Aleksander Stickel, Ashlynne Scarberry, Koltyn Scarberry and Amber Scarberry; and his brother Robert Firestone of North Liberty.
