She was predeceased by: her parents, Comer Dowdy and Rosie Dowdy; her son Charles; and her granddaughter Lori. She is survived by: her husband Marvin C. Whitten; her sons, Fred Whitten (Jan) of Osceola, Marvin Whitten of Mishawaka, David Whitten (Dawn) of Niles and James Whitten of Mishawaka; her sister Rita Harkens; and her sister-in-law Gloria Murphy. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren.
