She was predeceased by: her brother Sheldon Beard; and her son Rodney Michael Young. She is survived by: her spouse Ronald B. "Shorty" Rucker; her children, Sherrie Young of Pratt, WV, Cindy Schneider (Brian) of South Bend and Melissa "Missy" McLeod (Bruce) of Elkhart; her brothers, Arnold Beard of Beasley, SC. and Joe Beard of Denver; and her son David "Hooter" Jones.
