He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Nancy Kemple (Strong) of August; his sons, Tom Kemple, Lafayette, Tim Kemple (Amy) and Attica; his grandchildren, Angie, Brandon, Jenny, Mulberry, Blake, Christy, Crawfordsville, Cassidy and Williamsport; his sisters, Jean Miler (Bernie), Joan Stemke and Dot Gerhart (Bruce); his sons, Darren Jr., Darrin Jr. and Dennis, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Sandy Kemple; Otterbein.
