She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar R. Malpass and Mabel Malpass (Peterson); her husband Edwin G. Fitzgibbon; and her siblings, Bessie L. Rivenbark of North Carolina, Marion Malpass of North Carolina, Edith Thigpin of Virginia, Francis Rowe of North Carolina, Rosa Mae Hewitt of North Carolina, Mabel Moore of North Carolina, E. R. Malpass of Virginia and Robert Malpass of Virginia.
She is survived by: her former husband Robert Young, Sr.; and her children, Ted Young (Chris) of Greensboro, Philadelphia Victoria Yakibuk (Charles) of Smithfield, Virginia Robert Young, Jr. of Norfolk and Katherine Qualkenbush (Tim) of Paoli. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren.
