He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Copeland and Mary Elizabeth Cunningham Copeland; his son Eric Copeland; his grandchildren, Triston Copeland and Kye Dabney; and his sister Karen (Regina Copeland).
He is survived by: his wife Sally Mitchell.
