He was predeceased by : his parents, Ray Smith and Faye Smith of Montgomery, Indiana.; his son-in-law Douglas Scudder; his siblings, Eldon and Ilene; and his brother-in-law Pat Bailey.

He is survived by : his wife Wilma Smith (Burris); his children, Glenda Scudder (Douglas), Robert Smith (Lorna), Barbara Wilkinson (Mark) and Roger Smith (Lee); and his brother Jerry Smith (Debby).

In compliance with state regulations, social distancing and face masks are required by all attending.

Memorials may be made in memory of Richard to Camp Illiana, 723 E 450 S, Washington, IN 47501.
