He was predeceased by: his son Max Smith; and his siblings, Harold Smith, Bob Smith, Don Smith, Bill Smith and Zelda Maxine Barrett.
He is survived by: his son Mark Smith (Sue); his grandchildren, Jennifer Myers (Brandon), David Smith (Celia), Thad Smith (Bryna) and Matthew Smith; and his great grandchildren, Bryden Smith, Colby Smith and Owen Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
