He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Hilbert and Velma Nelson (Sinkhorn); his daughter Jamie Mills (Nelson); and his brothers, Charles William and Fred Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his son Dr. Jeff Nelson D. D. S. (Jill) of Owensville; his grandchildren, Kendal Masterson (Seth) of Vincennes, Elijah Nelson, Jesse Nelson of Owensville, Ryan Mills (Ashley) of Canton, GA, Jordyn Tinsley (Dylan) of Tucker, GA and Tristan Mills of Kennesaw, GA; his great grandchildren, Dawson and Hunter Mills; and his sibling's children, Jeanne Stevens (John) of Indianapolis, Kim Miller (Larry) of Princeton and Gary Nelson (Sue) of Indianapolis.
Due to COVID-19 state mandated regulations attendance at the visitation and services will be limited. Social distancing and masks will be required.
