He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Hurt and Norene Hurt (Stevens); his wife Mildred Hurt; and his siblings, Eugene, Bill, Larry, Steve, Tom, Danny Hurt and Sally East.
He is survived by: his son Brian Hurt of Patoka; his siblings, Mike Hurt and Sandra Wilson of Ft. Branch; and his close friend Sharon Garrett of Princeton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
