He was predeceased by: his father Glenn; his brother William; and his mother Etta Joyce. He is survived by: his children, Ashley Bohleber, Kyle Speedy (Brooke), Caleb Speedy, Tori Speedy and Kassie Beck (Dustin); his siblings, Linda Rutledge, Elaine Sides (Rick) and Glenn Speedy (Pam); and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Jason Bohleber, Isaiah, Kale Speedy and Paxton Beck.
