He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bill Dowdy of Mt. Carmel and Barbara Rushing Dowdy of Albion; his grandmother Virginia Swatsley (Bob) of Mt. Carmel; his siblings, Sonya Smith of West Salem, Tonya Prosise (Time) of Salem, Tom Dowdy of Grayville, Mike Dowdy (Lora) of Clarksville, TN, Pat Compton (Johnny) of Albion and Chris Dowdy (Tammy) of Mt. Carmel; his close friend Mark Chaffin; his grandparents, Hubert, Mary Rushing and Freeland Dowdy; and his nephew Dakota Ellis. He was also cherished by 10 nieces and nephews, and 26 great-nieces and nephews.
