He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Parks and Dorothy Grimes Parks; his son George "Gus" Heald; and his sister Cheryl Ann Roby of Louisville, KY. He is survived by: his children, David O. Parks, Jr. (Jodi), Michael C. Parks (Katrina) of New Boston, Judy Sieg (Daniel) of Corydon, IN, Melissa Maxey (Kevin L.) of Salem, IN and Valeri Lockard (Brian) of Borden, IN; and his wife Janice M. Castleberry Parks.
