He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Atkins and Dorothy Colin Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Sherry A. Leslie Atkins; his sons, Joshua Atkins of Radcliff, KY, Danny Craven (Ginger) of Louisville, KY and Kyle Peerce (Ebony) of Louisville; his brother Jerry Atkins (Johnnie Lynn) of Depauw, IN; his uncle John Colin (Susan) of Lanesville, IN; and his grandchildren, Addison, Pypar Atkins, Brooke, Ty Craven, Andraia and Kyle Peerce, Jr..
