He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Furst and Joyce Furst; his brother Robert; and his parents-in-law, Ted and Goldie Wall.

He is survived by : his wife Martha Kay Furst; his children, Bradley Furst (Megan) and Samantha Furst of Rensselaer, IN; his grandsons, Ethan and Isaac; and his sisters, Debbie Moriarity (Ed), Janis Furst, LuAnn Gooden (Bill), Tami Wall, Melinda Guerrero and Chris Wall (Tim Wall). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Jerry's name to Riley's Children Hospital, Cardiology Unit, Indianapolis, IN.
