She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlyle Cottongim and Mary Jarvis Cottongim; and her brothers, John "Dub" Cottongim, Golden Cottongim and Oscar Cottongim.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas Pinkerton; her children, Kim Gifford (Scott), Krista Norris (Davey), Keli Wesler (Scott), Kevin Pinkerton (Anya) and Keith Pinkerton (Kate); her grandchildren, Kailyn Callari (Patrick), Tyler Pinkerton (Abby), Shelby Gifford (Matthew Able), Taylor Hornung (Mason), Alexis Pinkerton, Carson Pinkerton, Kinley Wesler, Karley Norris, Kolsen Wesler and Avery Pinkerton; her great grandchildren, Cooper Pinkerton and Elle Pinkerton; and her siblings, Mildred Sparks (Wheeler) and Orville Cottongim.
