It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Martin of Rushville, Indiana, who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Jean Martin to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl Liggett and Leona Liggett (Smith); and her siblings, Denver Liggett, Marion Liggett, Verona Pearsall, Ilene Less and Lavada Tranbarger.

She is survived by : her husband Jim Martin; her children, Linda Davis (Craig Jacobs) of St. Charles, MO, Lisa (Mark Bruick) of New Haven, IN, Lee Davis (Sherri) of Winslow, IN, Dave Martin (Jan) of Carleton, MI and Gary Martin (Beth) of Cave City, KY; her grandchildren, Lauren Walker, Andrea Walker, David Walker, Cole Bruick, Janet Martin, Katie Martin, David Martin and Nate Martin; her sisters-in-law, Lois Liggett and Wanda Liggett of Rushville; and her nieces and nephews, Ann Toothman (Doug), Sarah Liggett (Jerry Kennedy), David Liggett (Emily), Phillip Liggett, Gary Liggett (Margaret) and Mark Liggett (Mary). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
