She was predeceased by : her parents, John Fortuin and Elizabeth Fortuin. She is survived by : her husband Donald E. Saxsma; her children, Terry Saxsma (Sue), Ed Saxsma (Diane) and Delonn Metz (Dan); her grandchildren, Taylor Metz, Rachel Metz, Brad Saxsma (Kelli), Brent Saxsma (Courtney Chavez), Scott Saxsma (Todd) and Cory Saxsma (April); her great grandchildren, Isabella, Madeleine, Ophelia, Floyd, Paisley and Tanner; and her siblings, Gerrie Natelborg, Tini DeBoer (late Elmer) and Anneke Brandsma (late Jeff).

Memorial contributions may be given to Highland Christian School.
