He is survived by : his wife Mary Fran Nolan; his children, Nancy Colletti (Joseph), Peggy DeLaurentis (Joseph), James Nolan Jr. (Suzana) and Thomas Nolan (Lisa); his grandchildren, Kelly, Katie, Joseph Jr., Jillian Colletti, Bridget, Jamie DeLaurentis, James III, Sean (Mary), Thomas and Shannon Nolan; his siblings, Terrence (Margaret), Patrick Nolan (late Jacqueline) and Dorothy Nolan (Alex Sprovtsoff); and his sister-in-law Charlotte Nolan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
