He is survived by: his stepfather Frank Belviy; his wife Bertha Bryant Sanders Ashley; his sons, Scott Ashley of Jeffersonville and Craig Ashley of Louisville; his stepdaughters, Vicki Richardson of Mitchell and Sherri Sanders of Palmyra; and his siblings, James R. Ashley II, Jomarie Debreczeny and Patricia A. Crawford. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
