It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Young (Salem, Indiana), who passed away on August 22, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Young and Sarah Ann Buchanan Young; his wife Barbara Ragains Young; his siblings, Joseph Virgil Young, Lawrence Buchanan Young, Richard Harold Young, Herbert Young, Lucile Burns, Grace Kesser and Mary Louise Webb; and his grandson Andy Hamer.
He is survived by: his children, John Young (Karen) of Salem, Ruth Gilbert (Lester) of Salem, Philip Young (Cindy) of Salem, Michelle Hamer (Rick) of Salem and Rose Anderson (Tim) of Salem; his sister Gertrude Stephenson of Salem; and his sisters-in-law, Martha Young of Logansport and Ethel Ragains of Salem. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
