The passing of Rebecca (Katayanagi) Gunter of Schererville, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her husband Chuck Gunter; and her mother Kimiko Kate Katayanagi. She is survived by: her children, Charles "Buck" Gunter (Sabrina) and Kim Heusinkveld (Brian); her grandchildren, Isabella, CJ, Liam, Austin (Kat), Kaylie, Kennedy and Rebecca; and her great grandchild Aurelius.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home (14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN 46375). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
