He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Baker and Dorla Mims; his sister Diana Byrd; and his daughter Mary Ann. He is survived by: his close friend Kim Curry of Scipio; his sisters, Syvia Oathout of Columbus and Kathy Ely (Mike) of Pensacola, FL; his children, Angel Dyette of Columbus, Sebrina Garriott (Sam) of Indianapolis, Saddie Baker of Indianapolis, Jean Wood (Danny) of Glasgow, Tonya Coomer of Knob Lick, Kentucky, Dennis Baker (Beverly) of Fort Walton Beach and Duke Roll (Erica) of Whiteland, Indiana; his great grandchild Jazzilyn Jenkins; and his son-in-law Nigel Dyette. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
