He was predeceased by: his parent Roy Gay. He is survived by: his parent Alpha Gay (Napier); his children, Matt Gay (Samantha), Austin, Shawn Gay (Melissa), Manteno and Gretchen Whicker; and his siblings, Henry Gay, Edinburgh, Lee Roy Gay, Martha Tyree, Lillie Stidham, Eva Eldridge, Jean Mull, Judy Richeson, Nora Winter (Don) and Rosetta Hammond. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
