He was predeceased by : his parents, David H. Fagersten and Helga Fagersten; his former life partner Thelma Fagersten (Kemp); and his children, Vickie Fagersten, Toni Boyd and Todd Amick.

He is survived by : his wife Norma Fagersten (Amick); his children, Larry E. Fagersten (Paula) of Greenwood, Terry Amick (Pam) of Scottsburg, Jeff Amick (Angie) of Lexington, Indiana and Jill Collins (Donald) of Lexington, Indiana; his son-in-law Larry Boyd of Deputy, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Ashley Fagersten, Leslie Kell, Monica Myslinski, Jennifer Sandlin, Joshua Lash, Ashley Collins, Gavin Collins, Mia Collins, Kylie Brooke, Joshua Amick, Elyse Amick, Andrew Amick, Matthew Amick, Donna Carter and Julia Watts. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
