She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Eacret and Thelma Hodapp Abbott; her husband Samuel E. Parks Sr.; her brother Carl Abbott; and her grandson Jason Kimberlin.
She is survived by: her children, Maurica Kimberlin of Scottsburg, Indiana, James Lee Berna (Patty) of Underwood and Johnny Berna of Scottsburg, Indiana. She is also survived by grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hoagland Family Funeral Home (80 N 1st St, Scottsburg, IN 47170). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at the Scottsburg Cemetery South Bond.
