He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul S. Merritt, Sr. and Opal Merritt (Foster); and his siblings, Brett Merritt and Sandy Fuchs. He is survived by: his wife Diana Merritt (Mollenkopf); his children, Lisa Cheek and Matt Merritt; his stepchildren, Mary Ogden (Josh Allen) and Jeff Sosbe (Mary Thurston); his grandchildren, Mya Cheek, Brandyn Ogden, Lindsey Dow, Dezirae Ogden, Jordan Rupp and Bryce Sosbe; and his brother Greg Merritt.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Murphy - Parks Funeral Services (703 S Harrison St, Shelbyville, IN 46176). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
