With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Louis Esarey of Shelbyville, Indiana, who passed away on April 14, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore A. Esarey and Beatrice Esarey (Lynch); and his wife Janet Kay Webb. He is survived by : his daughters, Janice Kay McDonnell of Shelbyville and Deborah Ann Thompson (Christopher) of Indianapolis; his brother John Esarey (Gretchen) of Savannah, Georgia; his grandsons, Brian Robert Wright and Daniel Steven Spall (Courtney); his great grandchildren, William Wright, Elleanor Wright, Tate Spall and Colin Spall; and his friend Sandra Colstock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Family Funeral Homes (819 S Harrison St, Shelbyville, IN 46176). A masonic service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
