She was predeceased by: her parents, James Turner and Gertrude Turner (Price); and her spouse Alcy Scott Ward. She is survived by: her children, Gary "Bunny" Ward of Shelbyville, Michael Ward of Columbus and Karen Turner Ward of Hampton, Virginia; her siblings, Lillian Holly of Charlottesville, Carrolyn Haywood of Madison, Carroll Turner of Decatur, Frank Turner of Decatur, Bessie Rollins of North Carolina and William Turner of Madison, Virginia; her grandchildren, Keri Hughes, Virgelia Jade Banks, Courtney Ward, Jordan Ward and Paige Ward; and her great grandchild Zikhaia Ward.
