He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Alsip; his parents, William Alsip and Frona Alsip; his sister Carolyn Carroll; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Alsip, Brenda Ellis, Lollie Moon, Charles Drake and Kinnie Moon.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Cobb (Rick) of Matthews, Patricia Turner (Phil) of Matthews and Darwin "Robbie" Alsip (Julie) of Marion; his grandchildren, Samuel Edge of Marion, Ashley Marley of Marion, Anthony Marley Joshua Cobb of Marion, Victoria Turner of Marion, Amanda of Marion, Robby Holland of Marion, Gaston of Marion, Aimee Cobb of Marion, Nicholas of Marion, Nolan of Marion, Angeline Alsip of Marion, Ruby of Marion and Jasmine Saylor of Marion; his great grandchildren, Addison, Brayden Marley, Ethan, Haley and Landon Holland; his siblings, Vivian Drake of Albany, Bill Alsip (Melissa), Morris Alsip, Randall Alsip (Kristi) of Livingston, TN and Doug Alsip (Pam); and his siblings-in-law, Howard "Joe" Moon, Phil Ellis, Anderson, Tony Moon and Kathy Moon of Huntington, IN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and special friends.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Blackford Baptist Temple – Bus Ministry.
