He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wernick and Fran Martin Wernick; and his stepson Douglas Irby. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Odom Wernick; his children, Julie Torgerson (Randy), Kathy Somers (Chuck), Randall Wernick (Tina) and Gregory Wernick; and his stepdaughter Kathy Warfield (Scott). He is also survived by five grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter, and many cousins.
