He was predeceased by: his parents, Rogaciano Martinez-Navarro and Maria Martinez-Navarro (Berrones); and his son Oscar Martinez. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Valencia; his daughters, Rosemary Rutherford (Brent) and Irma Martinez; his brother Dimas Martinez-Berrones; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Joseph Bogue, Olivia and Amanda Rutherford; and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Zoey Bogue-Groves and John Gregory Bogue. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jose's honor to the family in care of the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
