It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amparo Martinez, Sr. (South Bend, Indiana), born in Bryan, Texas, who passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Martinez and Josefa Martinez (Lopez); and his siblings, Frank, Fernando, Ricardo, Paula Gonzalez, Connie Rodriguez and Guadalupe Castro.

He is survived by: his children, Juanita Garza, Amparo Martinez, Jr. and Louis Martinez (Paula); his granddaughters, Lisa Marie Martinez, Sara Marie Plonka (Jason) and Amparo Gene Martinez III (Amber); his great grandchildren, Amparo Maddox IV, Kenley and Harper; and his sister Francine Sandoval.
