He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L., Sr. and Mary Baumgartner (Taylor); and his siblings, Mary Kathryn Skibbe, June Brafman, Veronica Baumgartner, Fred, John and James Baumgartner.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Schneider; his children, Connie Bruner (Dennis) of Ft. Wayne, Linda Melsa (Peter) of Niles, Michigan, Doug Baumgartner (Cindy) of South Bend and Phillip Baumgartner (Sue) of Mishawaka, Indiana; and his brother Richard Baumgartner. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
