He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Walsh and Helen Walsh (Kromer); and his wife Barbara L. Smith. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Mersich of South Bend, Jeanne Mahoney (Kevin) of Houston and Michael South Bend (Stacy); and his stepdaughters, Leslie Kurtz (Bubba) of Florida and Tresa Harrington (Todd) of Alabama.
