He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Hartzell and Norma L. Hartzell (Keeley). He is survived by: his wife Susan E. (Nimtz); his children, Michelle Conway of Granger, Rachel Waltz (Joe) of Osceola and Chad Hartzell (Kristen) of Granger; his stepson Thomas Heitger (Susannah) of Chicago; and his brother Donn Hartzell (JoEllen) of Minneapolis, MN.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
