He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest T. Watts and Edith Edna Watts (Williams); and his siblings, Joan Easton, John R. Watts and Michael Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gearhart; and his daughters, Debbie Birkey (John) of Bremen and Cindy McCan (Tim) of Lakeville. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
