He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert DeWitt and Marie DeWitt (Joyce); his grandmother Pearl Joyce; his parents-in-law, Olga Mielke and Richard Mielke; and his grandson Matt DeWitt.
He is survived by: his sons, Ernest E. DeWitt Jr. (Tammy) and Curtis A. DeWitt; his grandchildren, Michael DeWitt (Tayler Ables) and Amanda DeWitt (Kyle Cotter); his siblings, Anna Miller of Lake City, FL and Stan DeWitt; Baylee and Lincoln Cotter.
