He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Newton and Paul Newton; his wife Clara I. Shaffer; his granddaughters, Amy and Melissa Chodzinski; his great grandchild Ashton Jachimiak; and his siblings, Betty Ann Modlin, Pat A. and Richard Newton.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky Everett (Douglas) of Vallejo, CA, Becky Bode (Dennis) of South Bend and Jerry Newton (Marilynne) of Lincoln City, OR; his grandchildren, Robert Stewart, Mandy Chodzinski and Jeremy Bode; his great grandchild Honey Jachimiak; his sister Helen Johnson of Granger, IN; and his sister-in-law Norma Shaffer of Niles, MI..
The family will receive family and friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p. m. Wednesday, October 7th at the funeral home. Eue to the COVID Pandemic masks and social distancing are required.
