It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Zalas of South Bend, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 15, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James John and Catherine Mary Sikora (Kuczek); and her brother Stanley Sikora. She is survived by: her close friend Duwayne Grabner of South Bend; her daughters, Christine Najdek (Roger) of South Bend, Lillian Zaworski (Ray) of Montgomery, AL, Kathleen Zalas of South Bend and Cynthia Zobrosky (Jeffrey) of South Bend; and her grandchildren, Roger Najdek II (Lara), Chanda Berta (Mark), Stacie Curtis (Casey), Nathan Najdek (Ashley), Kay Adams (Kevin), Carl Lawson (Dawn), Jeremie Lawson (Hilary), Charles Lawson (Caryl), Emma (Jeff), Samantha Gregory (Charles Jason), Samson Wawrzynski (Billie Jo), Deanna Hixenbaugh (Glenn), Joellen Trimberger (Dan), Justin Zobrosky (Heather) and Shannon Mariscal (Roland).
