She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles L. Cannon and Anabelle Cannon (Dempsey); her children, Malcolm "Dennis" Boney (Linda) of Byram, MS, Angela McNeill of South Bend, Bonita Heard of Gilbert, AZ, Charles Parker of South Bend, Regina Boney and Walter Boney; her siblings, Reginald Cannon, Robert Cannon and Patricia Greer; and her niece Bridget Hardy.
A life-long resident of South Bend, Hilda was employed as a seamstress and foundation fitter at Robertson's & Hudson's for over 30 years, retiring in the 1980s.
