He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Gomez and Magdalena Gomez (Padilla); and his wife Rita Lozano Miranda. He is survived by: his children, Angeles Gomez Quintanilla, Lourdes Rizo, Olivia Rizo, Ruben Gomez Lozano, Jose Luis Sandoval Lozano and Graciela Gomez; and his granddaughter Marilyn Velazquez.
