He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur James Sumption and Ila F. Sumption (Williams). He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Arthur J. Sumption (Jim), Dan P. Sumption (Dawn) and Jennifer S. Turner (Jason); his grandchildren, Stephanie L. Sumption, Meagan E. Sumption-Rodriquez (Dominick), Brooke L. Sumption and Alex J. Reed; and his brother Robert Sumption (Diane).
