He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Murl Alexander and Vera Shufflebotham Adair; his wife Sue Ann Slonaker; his son Brett James of South Bend; his sister Vera Jean Frieswyk (Siebolt) of Topeka Kansas; his nieces, Jean Frieswyk of Akron Ohio, Christine Frieswyk-Mannella of Victor, Alicia Frieswyk of Lawrence, Michelle Frieswyk-Johnson of Louisville, Serena Frieswyk, Beth Ann Frieswyk Masters of Alameda and Ruth Slonaker Hatfield of Argos, Indiana.; his brother-in-law Dean Slonaker; and his nephews, Allen and Ronald Slonaker of Plymouth.
He bravely fought Guillain-Barre, serious injuries from an auto accident, Parkinson's and Covid during his life span.
