He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde V. Evans and Edith G. Evans (Godbey). He is survived by: his spouse Francie M. Kubiak; his sons, Gregory A. Evans (Kristen) of Hamilton, OH and James V. Evans Jr. (Aleja Seaborn) of Stone Mountain, GA; and his grandchildren, Sam, Matt, Ariana, Elizabeth, Eseana, Nyasia, Abigail and Neasa.
