He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Stamper and Hazel Stamper (Tetzloff). He is survived by: his wife Erika Pistorius; his daughter Alessandra; his aunt Irma Tetzloff; and his cousins, Ray Degner (Jacque) and Jim Barkley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Notre Dame. Please direct your gift to John W. Stamper Memorial Fund in Architecture in memory of John Stamper.
