He was predeceased by: his parents, Lallubhai Govindbhai and Samjuben Patel; and his siblings, Shilaben J. Amin, Ushaben G. Patel and Nareshbhai L. Patel.
He is survived by: his spouse Hansaben Gordhanbhai Patel; his children, Gita Patel (John Shaffer), Rekha Patel (Frank Dombrowski), Jiten Patel (Mauri) and Janak "Hodge" Patel; his grandchildren, Devin, Harper, Dylan, Elliott and Quinn; his siblings, Jagdishbhai L. Patel, Maheshbhai L. Patel, Jasuben V. Amin, Naliniben A. Amin, Madhuben N. Patel and Sulochanaben T. Patel; and his family, Kampala, Uganda and Asian Indians.
