She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph E. Whitacre and Bertha Whitacre (Fike); her husband Robert D. Clark; her siblings, Naomi Waggy, Olive Peter, Grace Davis, Wilda Rohrer, Charity Alger, Eunice Baker and Theodore Whitacre; and her children-in-law, Mark Johnston, Deb Clark (O'Conner) and Pam Clark (Scope).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Eric Clark (Kay Baughman) of Palm Harbor, FL, Dr. Janis Johnston of Oak Park, IL and Nevin Clark of North Liberty, IN; her grandchildren, Andrew Clark, Christon Clark, Ryan Johnston, Megan Johnston and Jeffrey Clark (Beth Finn); her great grandchildren, Caton Clark, Logan Clark and Hanna Clark; her grandson Christian Scope (Gretchen); her great grandchildren, Natalie Kirkdorfer, Kylie Scope, Kate Tiffany and Will Tiffany; and her sisters, Joyce Bohn (Richard) of Lancaster, PA and JoAnn Rhodes (Leon) of Bridgewater, VA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She left her post at age 76, but she continued community volunteer and outreach initiatives for 20 years until her health and the 2020 pandemic kept her sheltered-in-place.
