She is survived by: her sons, Karl Nichols (Janice) and Robert Nichols (Taylor); her grandchildren, KeVon Vernon, Karl Nichols II, Natalia Nichols and Aubrey Nichols; her siblings, Terry Nichols and Mary Lou Nichols; her close friend Al Parker; and her friend Nastassija Spraggins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mavis' name are suggested to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County.
